Tar Slip is a safe water-based non-solvent bitumen slipping agent used to prevent to adhesion of tar and bitumen to asphalt machinery used in the civil and road works industry. Tar Slip is sprayed neat to the bitumen hot box, allowing the tar to flow freely, and prevented sticking and adhesion. Tar Slip can be sprayed to all machinery surfaces where the adhesion of tar is not desired. Tar Slip reduces the OHS risks and environmental concerns related to using diesel and solvent based slipping agents. Tar Slip is a water-based solvent-free, and biodegradable, and is safe on all surfaces and will not damage intricate equipment or affect the newly finished bitumen surface

Instructions

Apply neat, using a spray jet or large pump sprayer ensuring an even coating of Tar Slip to all desired surfaces. Once applied Tar Spot will minimise the adhesion of bitumen and allow tar to slip freely. For Hotboxes: Use neat. Ensure hot box is clean and cold. Liberally spray the barrier, using a large pump spray, onto the hotbox surface starting from the top and working down. Load the hotbox with tar and, once loaded, turn on. Recommend re-application prior to each load. For Equipment and machinery: Use neat. Ensure surfaces are clean and cold. Liberally spray on to the surfaces from top down. Caution: Do not spray on areas used as walkways. This product should be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
